Hi, iv bought a tin of berins ease strip wax, i did what i normally do and the hairs didnt come . Im not sure what went wrong as i did the same as i do with my Hive brand and the hairs come out with that. I had the heat on between 2/3 1000c and the wax looked at a good consisitancy but didint get anywhere, any advice at all would be great thanks x

Anyone there bump bump?

Did you apply it too thick maybe,
it needs to be quite runny without been too hot iykwim

I use the Ease without any trouble... in fact its my all time favourite wax.

I use a Hive heater set at 3 - 3.5 so its really quite runny in consistency. It spreads really thinly and as long as you use the edge of the spatula and press right down to the skin, the hairs come out. I apply a little jasmine oil after cleansing the area pre waxing. The only time I leave a few behind is if I have applied a little too much oil, in which case I blot with a tissue and reapply the wax.

I hope you start to like it the more you use it. It is a lovely wax.

Can you talk us through what you did step by step please?

Perfect...although no surprise there Jen

applied to thickly as mentioned by Louise is probably the cause.....less is more and works a treat every time...and is more economical to

Hi, thats the only thing i can put it down to really too thick
This is how i wax:

Clean the area
Jasmine oil, blot if too much but im getting used to that now
wax in direction hair growth firm with spat
Pull away against hair growth holding skin taught
Im now also trying to use my hand to place on the area after the pull {didnt really learn that in college}
apply oil massage in n clean off.

I know its not a problem with the wax as iv done alot of research on this product before i bought it and know it is a very high grade and rated wax.
So tomorow ill try again, its got to be runny in consistancy but not too hot, i always test on myself prior anyway it was drilled into me!.
Ill let you know how i get on with it, any more advice great received thanks x

Very little Jasmine oil (not to much now)and a thin wax coverage ,taught skin...should be good to go:hug:

Am getting my berins ease tomorrow to play with!
Someone told me it needed to be the consistency of pancake batter-thought that was a good description!

Ah, but depends on how thick you like you pancake batter lol.

It does need to be runny but not too hot. Most of the answers I would have given have already been suggested but maybe if you still have problems try applying the wax against the direction of hair growth and then with to make sure that you are fully coating the hair.

As has already been said, the thinner the coating the better the removal.

try it on a small area with NO OIL.....does it remove the hair?

If so...voila too much oil as suggested.

If your 'contious' you could be using too much oil you probably are:green: u need the TEENIEST amount.

If the wax kind of 'splits' when your applying it or 'slips' over the skin that shows you way too much oil too.

Another question is i have a hive 1000c heater and also a Deo 1000c heater which is new.It digtal and goes up to 85c on the display i think, does anyone have one of these and use Berins if so what number do you have yours on please? thanks

I don't have a digital one but i have the Berins double heater and this has heat numbers on the dial,
i have mine at about 40o if that's any help,
sorry hun i don't know how to convert it

I didn't get on well with berins ease either! didn't remove the hairs either....must have been me because I have seen all the rave reviews but I have gone back to my old wax and have no problem with that. I think it just takes times getting used to products.

It is definitely a case of getting used to it,
i used to have problems with the short hairs not coming out with other waxes but the ease even gets the short ones once you get the hang of it

Well i got my sample of ease today so had to have a play :)
I'm sat there thinking 'god i've got nothing to wax except my arms'!
So i had to try it and off they came with no problem at all.
The palaver i had getting to melt the wax to pour into a bigger tin though drove me mad!
Have the hive 1000cc and the pots are just too small and it was a long winded affair which i'm in no hurry to repeat.
If i try it again i will have to wait till they bring the bigger tins out!
Loving the berins blue though-love love love!!!!!!!!

If you sit the small tin of ease in a pan of hot water for 10 mins it will easily slide out in one big lump into the larger tin where you finish melting it down,
hth for next time
(if there is an easy way i will find it lol)

Now why didn't i think of that! :irked:

Oh no, i put the little tin in the bucket and had to wait till it melted completely which was longer than usual as the sides of the tin aren't flush with the sides of the bucket.
Right so now i have my melted wax. Now how am i going to pour it into the bigger empty tin? The little tin is too far down the bucket and i can't get it out. Can't wait for it to cool as it defeats the object. Hmmm ok fold a piece of paper and put it between the side of the can and the bucket. Then tip the bucket up holding onto one side of the small tin to stop it falling completely out. The wax pours down the paper into the tin so i don't get my bucket messy and voila i've done it!

If there's a hard way, i'll find it
