Hi there, I have just read this post and it made me so cross, although I am now over the moon that the person involved did pay up, well done to that person for doing the right thing.
A lot of us are honest but there are people out there that just do not know how to be, maybe due to past experiences them selves. I can sympathise so much as myself and my husband recently bought a car, 2 grand and from the first day it had problems, 21 faults in total with in 2 weeks, he sold us a car that was not fit to be on the road but decieved us so well it looked great and drove wonderfuly to start with. Anyway I have escaped death twice, brakes failed and then the automatic transminssion in gear box fell out with over a galon of oil, not to mention the other massive problems, 3 months of having the car now and it can not be driven, so we are paying a bank loan back for a car to sit and leak petrol and oil etc on our drive. Yes it had a 3 month warentee but when I took the car back the chap told me to winde my F...ing neck in stop moaning and its tough luck he is retiering now. I went to police trading standards every where but he has commited no crime in the eyes of the law, however if I die in the car they will investigate.
I was so so angry with the man to start with wanted to smash his garage up ruin all his cars take him under, smack him on the head with a tool, but you know I didnt its not in my nature, now I laugh at him as he has at me and think to myself he must have a reason for being so cruel and money grabbing, he is obviously lacking in all the qualities I have, honesty, kindness, honour, and so forth so who has lost realy? I feel for his poor family and send good wishes to him every day in hope that maybe just maybe one day he will see right from wrong.
So although I feel sick to the stomach that a geek has gone threw such a horrid time I really feel that you should be glad that the person has seen right from wrong, thats one less muppet in the wolrd now.
Take care oh and next time trust less and get the dosh first. x
