Free Database

Hi guys

just wondering - i am trying to get myself organised and i don't have a salon system as yet but i would like to put together a database of all my clients details etc. Can anyone recommend one or can these be downloaded for free from the net??

Depending on what it is you are after - you could use Access as it may be part of your Microsoft Office tools on your computer.

You must be very careful about keeping details on a computer - check out the Data Protection Act to see what you can and cannot keep and what permissions etc. you need.

Act by Sage works well as a contact management system. It isn't too expensive if it is just for one person.

That definitely applies for any businesses in the UK; I would advise that you would need to check what the situation is under Irish law though, assuming you are Dublin based as your status says.
