French has earned me my money now for a few years. I will always love french, but it does depend on how its done. I like that its clean, tidy and goes with anything....same goes for french toes.

I put OK for some occasions!

I hate long french nails, they look hideous! However a nice subtle white with a sheer finish looks beautiful!

Enhancement wise, I am going off the P&W and really long enhancements, but clients want them, I try to persuade them otherwise but Hey ho!

I myself am into a bit of colour at the moment, Ive got medium, round enhancements with a bit of blue glitter and rainbows on some tips! lol!! They sound horrific, but Im getting to love them!

xxx

I love the French look, either short and square or long and almond. Most of my clients are still going for this look as well, many now try a colored/glitter tip or a different shape, but I feel its a timeless look, that can be adapted to suit everyone xx

also to add love it more on toes at the mo !! clean, fresh and groomed !!

I voted OK for some occasions.
I have always hated P&W! However, if it is something with glitters or colors... I can think of a couple of different combinations that I really liked...

As has already been said, on short nails a FM can look good, looks awful on really long nails.

But I'm BORED with it, whether it's nail enhancements or polish.

I personally find that you just don't see good nails anymore. You look around when you are in the shops and people's nails are in a dreadful state.

The polish on their toes looks like it's been there for 12 weeks, half grown out, chipped etc., same goes for finger nails. C'mon girls, just take it off, it will look a lot better !!! :irked:

Same goes for nail enhancements..... looks like the whole female population is going to NSS, all the nails look so crap !

It's been ages since I've seen decent looking nails (natural or enhanced).

Sorry, just realise I went off on a rant and have completely gone off topic

Nice to hear that you all take note of the womens nails in "porn movies"
Do you ladies ever take your mind off the job???? :green:

BTW i like a very natural looking french, not bright white!

I do think its a classic look & can look lovely if done correctly however , I feel that sometimes it can depend on occassion & clients nails!! :)

Havnt you been invited to the "lets watch porn and talk about their awful nails" club?!

lol.

What you on babe? classic style and look!

I love the French manicure look and have done for a good while now. I think it's timeless, classic and goes with anything.
I wanted to wear a pair of sky blue sandles the other day (the look nicer than they sound) and I couldn't at the time as I had on red polish. Now I have on french on both hands and feet all the time.

Nice short french....Too long and your heading for porn territory!!! :green:

LMAO no and i'm gutted!!!!!!!

Hi everyone!
Well I live in Australia, and the FRENCH look is massive here! I mean I cant go into a shop of ANY kind with out seeing some if not most of the sales girls wearing french.
It's usuallly White French done on shorter nails, and they look good, its almost like part of their job description!
I myself LOVE french, its an old style that will never go away, although when I do my own nails I hardly ever do white french, I love Pink, Purple, and glitter French.

The polish on their toes looks like it's been there for 12 weeks, half grown out, chipped etc.
I notice you've seen me out and about lately

I like the french look... providing it's done 'properly' and not half white and half pink, yeuk!

At the end of the day who are we to argue?
If it's what clients want then we give it to them, right? (within reason lol)

hahaha!! actualy i got evicted from a porn night because i kept screaming out.. "LOOK AT THE STATE OF HER NAILS!!!"

 what?? I like a good porn flick, story lines are great and more often then not the comedic timing is fantastic! not hardcore of course...:eek:... just the old "I hev cum to clean ze poool" sort! TMI methinks!

I love french as long as the nails aren't too long. I must admit I love the bright white even though it's not so natural looking. It just looks so clean, classic and fresh. It's still a very popular look where I live.

I also like it on toes but not when the free edge looks too long. I think toes should be kept as short as possible to look nice and clean.

I love all the blingbling stuff and the colour etc

My option wasn't there. So I chose porn-star.

My first thought when I see a typical french is "NSS" because that's alllllllllll that they do. At least around here abouts. And that's pretty much the opinion of most folks around here and I don't mean techs: I mean every day people.
It's not to say that a well done french doesn't look nice. It's just not my cup of tea. When I see a sculpted french or a CBM on this site, that is very well executed, I think "wish mine could look that nice" BUT I imagine even if I could.... it still wouldn't be my fave.

My first choice would be art or something 'personal'.
People have different clothes, different hair, different home decor.. etc..
So why on earth they would all want to have the same looking nails is beyond me. I dont get it. And the "it goes with everything" comment makes no sense to me either. So does black. Why not wear black nails all the time. See what I mean?

As for brides, not a fan of brides having white nails either because then their nails dissappear against their dress in pictures. What's the point of paying to have them done if you can't see them? I'm not saying go over the top, but a touch of colour or a simple polish would be better than white against white. Compliment as opposed to camouflage.

For CBM's, I only like them if the edge is not white. Natural nails aren't white. They're a beige, with a tad bit of yellow in it. They have to look NATURAL and if they're white and the line is too crisp.... not natural to me. For me, it's not just about the tone of the pink used. (but to note: I HAVE taken down notes on Gigi's recipe for the white used in the solar oil pics... for when I do take my L&P course LOL LOVE hers!!)

I personally think that typical p&w's with the snow-white "white" is outdated and overdone only because people can't decide what else to choose and are afraid to leave their comfort zone.

So, I'd rather either see:
A) straight colour polish/funky french
B) art
C) a CBM if it really DOES look natural (which isn't very often)

I love doing Competition French, as their long, with an extra c-Curve, a deeep smile...

I love doing these.

but the typical french they are all after, with is quite flat, unhappy, thick... no thank you go away here's the door.

I hate it on feet too... that's gross. that was my first reaction and it never changed ever since. so many colors to use instead! I wear a polish that matches my swim suit and I too don't have to worry about it when I go to the pool... but it's brown with sparkles so it matches all of my shoes...
