Hi ya,

Im new and still practising really hard my nails keep dropping off and lifting the next day what am i doing wrong ?? i do all the prep and leave a margin by the cuticles and down both sides im thinking i might be putting to much acrylic on could this be the cause?

Would really appreciate some advice!

Making the enhancements too thick can cause the product to lift from the nail.

A big cause of lifting is down to prep...

Go through your prep and maybe we can see what if anything needs tweaking. x

i make sure everything is clean and get them to wash there hands and i push cuticles back and scrap any remainding theni give the nails a file with a 180 grit then i put the nail tip on and then put a primer over??

Does the system you use recommend using a cuticle remover...??

I read that you did your course with Sallys...??

Are they able to offer you any advise. x

Someone else said about a cuticle remover which im going to start using also i only had wooden sticks to push back but i have a metal one on the way so im hoping that this will be the answer if it carrys on then ill give my trainer a ring!! Its so deflating when your new but i know it takes a while to perfect so going to keep going and going!

I use a 100/180 grit to blend the tip, never would i use it on the natural nail. Do you mean the 180 white block?
Who are you training with?
What is your full prep routine?

A wooden stick wont remove the non living skin from the nail...and that HAS to be removed. You will get on better with your metal pushee.

If you do decide to use a Cuticle remover...make sure its then removed properly..(wash hands)

Make sure that you are only removing the shine from the natural nail in prep...dont over do it.

What products are you using...?

Hope its not the 100 grit side... as when blending tips you are working very close to the natural nail...:)

I never touch the natural nail whilst blending, i mastered file control quickly after seeing the result of poor blending on my own nails thanks to people who refused to hold their file correctly during blending
