Hi All, I really need some help as to where I can advertise for a full time beauty therapist. I will be opening my salon in the next month and have no therapist. I keep getting part time therapists and really need a full time. Please help as I am really panicing and not sure where to advertise! thanks xx

hiya, have you been done the job centre yet? i have a salon in dereham and when im looking to recruit i go down to the local job centre. many beauty therapists have their details there who are awaiting jobs. i hope this helps x

Thank you, but I have tried that and still no luck. I havent got enough money to advertise in newspapers, but cannot think where else. I have also put several ads on gum tree an no luck. I'm finding it really difficult.

Have you thought about taking on two part-timers to job share.

Personally I've got older kids but still wouldnt want to work full time. Ive got friends with young ones who would love to get a part time job - they can only work school hours but people with older kids or no kids at all may want to work different hours. You could also mix and match weekends so that no-one has to work them all.

Karaxxx

How about trying on the recruitment area of the business forums here on salon geek?

Or even how about advertising in the job section of your local paper. I know you say you haven't got much money but the last time I used my local paper it was to advertise for a new tenant in the flat above my salon. It was only £21 and I had a new tenant in within a week. It also won't cost you anything to get a quote.

Thanks eveyone. You have given me a few ideas. wish me luck x
