Hi, there seems to be conflicting info (college tutor and books etc) so thought you guys may be able to help. I've read that for galvanic (not blend, just pure galvanic) electrolysis you shouldn't use an insulated needle - is that right, my tutor said it's OK to use, but the books say different. Insulated needle with short wave diathermy/thermolysis I can see the point (no pun intended!!!) but as galvanic will use the whole needle how's that going to work effectively with an insulated needle????? Help???? love Teresa xx
 
I would primarily use insulated needles for the flash technique but it could depend on other factors. For example if you were using galvanic method on very shallow and straight follicles or someone very sensitive I could not see a problem but not a usual choice. I think I would have to agree with you on this one. For the latest advice I would contact the BIAE.
