Gel Cracking on NNO

Hi I have been using Star Nails Gel for the last 5 months with no lifting or problems, I did a seperate course at college for nno and we used the paint on coloured gels by star only after I had done a mani and pedi treatment the gel cracked on every nail has anyone had this before? if so what would you recommend?

Colour gels used alone don't offer the same strength as when used on top off a builder gel first....(unless its a very flexible soak off type gel) If any kind of NNO is applied too thin it can chip/crack....as the natural nail flex's it needs something thicker/stronger than itself to be able to withstand that flex...I always apply a builder gel first....cure and wipe and buff to make smooth and perfect, then apply my colour gels. Thankyou so much, it did look really thin so this seems like the problem, I will give the builder gel a try underneath :hug:
