Gel nails!

Hi guys could you please advise me on gel nails??

Apart from gel & brush what else do i need?

What is the best uv lamp (and wattage) to use?

Just wondering the cost of things before i enquire about a course, I have completed foundation l&p with creative

We can't give out prices on the main forum, but if you have completed a course with CND you can have a look at Sweet Squared's website and you'll see all the prices for gel and UV lamps.

The best lamp to get would be the one that's recommended for whichever system you go for... Brisa gel from CND is a gorgeous gel and since you are CND trained I would go for that, so you'll need the Brisa lamp or new Shellac lamp... again you'll find prices on the site or you can request a brochure.

sorry i didnt mean how much each item is I meant is it more expensive than doing acrylic? I had a look at uv lamps etc, not even sure if its a popular choice with clients?

Oh sorry, I get you... no it's not more expensive really, apart from having to invest in the UV lamp of course.

Where I live L&P is not popular, all clients seem to want and know about is Gel.

It's really good to know how to do both systems, as you will have some clients that are suited to L&P and others that will be suited best to Gel.

I personally love Gel and I don't like the smell of Monomer in the Salon, but my main reason, is because it's what the clients want.

The Shellac lamp would be a great investment, as I'm sure you've seen all the threads about Shellac and how popular it is, so you could do this too if you wanted to and you can use the same lamp for Brisa gel.
