Hi,
I need HELP!
I am a nail tech/beauty therapist and the first time on this site, I have a client coming in next week for a full set of soak off gel nails, I had a quick consultation with her on the phone and she said she has very short nails, does anyone have any advice on what are the best nail tips to use for very short nails she having gel french polish?? and are gel nails her best choice?
Thanks NikkB

Hi,

I am a gel tech so I couldnt advise on L&p. But I usually sculpt short nails as apposed to tips as I find that this works better and lasts longer for the client, but thats only in my experience.

A lot of clients will say they have very short nails, giving you images of tiny little bitten down nails, when infact, when you see them they do have some free edge and are not as bad as she described them.

To be honest you wont know whats best until you see them. Just advise her that if she is not used to any length on her nail she should start off short. She may want lovely long nails but they wont be practical for her and she is more than likely to be back for repairs.

Good luck, let me know how you get on x

Yeah, I agree with Vikki.

You're going to have to wait to see.

Putting gel nails using tips on really short nails can be tricky. If they are really that short, you might just want to polish them and get her to grow her nails out for a few months.

If she really wants to invest in gels and the health of her nails, she'll understand.
