Gel nails kit

I'm attending a gel nail course in February and just looking in to
The kit that I'll need. Can anyone recommend a brand to use? And what to avoid? Also what lamp is best used with what brand xx

They have given the option to buy the kit, but it's a different brand to what I want to use. Im
Guessing they will tell us what we need on the course, I just wanted to get it before so I can get started right away x
