Gel nails

:?: Will getting a gel nail over a nail that is short help it grow? Thanks!

Nothing you put on the natural nail can change the speed at witch that matrix produces nail plate cells.
Same with the thickness and thinness issues. You cant put anything on the nail plate to make it grow thicker or thinner.

On the other hand... putting something like gel (or any other type of 'acrylic' system) will protect the natural nail plate... make it much stronger, less likely to break and peel.... so therefore, your nails will grow our much nicer and longer than if you had nothing on them
