After some advice please ladies. When doing a gel polish Manicure and Pedicure (standard or deluxe) do you a) carry out the treatment and apply gel polish last or b) carry out the cuticle work and apply the gel polish first then continue with the exfoliation/mask/massage after to avoid getting product onto the nails?

  1. prep/soak
  2. apply gel
  3. massage

Some people believe it's not a true pedicure unless you soak first... personally I wouldn't do any soaking before Gel Polish.
Prep, gel polish, application, soak, mask, massage etc :)

Clients usually don't have a problem with adhesion of gels on the toes. So soaking isn't that big a deal. You would want to soak because then you can work on a clean foot, instead of a smelly one.

I personally would recommend you soak after gel polish application.
Nails are absorbent and can swell when soaked. This may cause wrinkling of gel polish product as moisture leaves the nail x

I do the soak after! My clients have come to like this better anyways, they get to end with the nice relaxing massage:).
