Please can you recommend some gel polish brands which you don't need to buff the nail plate.

I already have 30+ CND Shellac colours already but would like to introduce a new brand but they all seem to have to buff the shine off before starting which I don't want to do.

Is there any other brands in the UK that you don't have to buff ????

Thanks

X

Many Gelish and OPI Gelcolours techs on the site stopped buffing a long time ago and have never seen a problem, if that helps.

I actually think many brands are now directing techs to move away from buffing and just ensure a thorough prep is done.

I use Crystal Nails alongside CND and never buff.

I have been looking at gelish but everything I have come across says to buff! So if I do my pep correct it should be ok without buffing! ? X

I couldn't say for definite, I'm not a Gelish Tech or trained by them, but it's something lots of techs on here have stated.
Perhaps call Nail Harmony and seek their advice?

I only buff on the first appointment with gelish to remove the shine. After this I rarely buff the nail unless there is good reason (slight flake or similar) buff is to remove the shine so I figure no shine no buff x

Even when you do buff with Gelish you are only supposed to buff the regrowth area not the entire nail.

However I personally don't buff and my clients get the full 3 weeks from their Gelish manicures. x

Ink London is a UK no buff company

InkLondon iLac is fab. I run it alongside my CND Shellac ☺

Hi helencowleard I've just ordered the trial kit from ink London and I can't wait to try it! I also use CND Shellac bit I'm not sure whether to charge the same or slightly less for ink. Do you charge a standard price or a different one for each system?

All my gel polishes are the same price but I charge more for bio sculpture

How much do you charge for bio sculpture if you don't mind me asking?

I don't think we're allowed to discuss prices/charges on here as its a site that's open to non professionals as well so will try and private message

FYI you just can't post costs. You can post your prices.

Discussing what we charge is perfectly acceptable, it will be on your price lists and website after all ! It's trade prices, what we pay our suppliers, which is not permitted.

Hi LuxemBeauty I charge the same as my CND Shellac. It's cheaper for me to buy but the product lasts as long on the client and takes the same amount of time to apply although quicker to remove. It means my profits are up

I'm looking at ilac so seeing a good review is nice :) x
