Gel polish over gel extensions?

Just a quick question,

Does anybody find it ok to paint Gel polishes ( such as Gelish) over Gel extensions? Would you just follow the same procedure and is this likely to effect the lifespan of the extension?

Any advice would be great,

It is perfectly fine to use Gelish (and probably all other types) over gel or acrylic extensions You would build your gel nail up as normal, then skip the foundation step (if you're using gelish) and go straight to color/french application

And no it will not affect the lifetime of the extension
