Getting the perfect apex?

When doing acrylics I can’t seem to get the apex. Do I achieve this in application of zone 3 or 2? And still getting lifting from cuticle area and around side walls grrr . Always watching tutorials but they don’t apply beads in the way in which I was taught and they use efiles and not cnd retention and powder .

Then return to your tutor and do a refresher course, or invest in some new training using the methods you've seen. Currently you're confusing yourself in a skill you haven't mastered, you'll drive yourself mad, pick up bad habits and waste your time and products. Everyone tweaks their application once they are working but initially you need to master the basic skills first and jumping between methods is just making it harder for you at the moment.
