This is a professional forum and we should not be advocating at home jobs with OTC products.

If you are not a hair professional and want a consumer job then this post should be in the Consumer Forum.

Well I'm a natural gingernut and I have dyed copper hair, I would never say I'm a natural copper so the ginge (or redhead to be politically correct!) is an accurate description as she says her hair is natural. And she must be a professional if it's a client of hers wanting it. As to how to get this, I would suppose u would have to cover with a very ash blonde or pearl ash maybe to start and go from there depending on how it comes out.

You would say natural redhead though, think what people are getting at is that technically "ginger" is not a term we use in hairdressing, no colour chart states it.
I am naturally, and the word makes me cringe, just makes me think of being in school and the words kids say to be nasty! xx

I am also a natural REDHEAD, we do not use the word ginger as it is not professional!!! I walked out of a colour seminar once as they kept saying ginger!

Well I have embraced my ginger hair the older I've got and use Ginge, Ging and ginger to describe it. I find it funny how people still find it offensive, that's what we are and what our grandmothers were before the world went mad and u couldn't say it incase u upset someone! We all got teased about it and the freckles at some stage but as adults it really shouldn't bother us and it certainly doesn't me! I don't think its unprofessional, infact i think its nice to bring it back and i encourage my daughter to use it too. Ginge all the way, lol x

I dont actually see the point of leaving this thread open as it doesnt seem to be addressing the topic, but merely discussing the merits of ginger vs red or copper.
