Hey guys i need sum help if possible i seem to b floatin up the preverbial creek without a paddle. i had a new client 2day and i didnt quite no her history and she had no clue, she had level 12 ends and a natual regrowth of between a 5 n 6. i used half 11 natural quarter 11.1 (ash) n 11.2 (violet) wit 20 vol for 45 mins was near perfect round front hairline but crown 2 nape ginger:irked: i had sum product left over added a squirt of 30 vol and half scoop roughly of powder lightner under heat,4 bout 15 mins it came up heaps but we still not anythin close to her ends:rolleyes::irked: she cumin bak 2moro i was thinken bugga it go powder bleach n 30 vol startin frm bak (ov course) n hope 4 th best, she was a newbie i just wantd 2 play safly:eek:help me pleez guyz !

If you wanted her to get to a 12 (I use Wella and there is no 11) from a 6, I would have used a 30vol at least. I don't think 20vol lifts nearly enough, I think Wella say that a 20vol would lift up to one or two shades (not sure if thats the same with high lift though)

I wouls go with a weak bleach, just try bleach and pastel developer or even a 10vol. Cos if you use 30vol its gonna lift fast but the hair quality is gonna be comprimised. What shade is it at now? xxx

I reckon i mild bleach would be best too.Lifting 6 levels with a tint is hit and miss sounds like your client has got underlying tones of red in her hair, bleach lift this no problem.

With a lift like that, you would need to use 12% That colour is a hi-lift and is designed to be used with 12%. Don't be nervous about using 12% on the scalp, colours are much more gentle now, I do it all the time.

You will have to do what Kimi1101 said now. Lift the orange areas gently and slowly with bleach and 3%. Then go over with a toner.

Let us know how you get on :)

I was gonna say use 12/1 and 12% but I'm sure I've seen posts on here beofre syaing a 12% on the scalp is a no no!!! I do it all the time and have never had any problems. x

12% is fine to use on the scalp and wella actually recommend it with there hi-lift blondes.

yes , i think you need to lift and tone , i dont think using tint will get it too light , unless its baby fine so dont worry about that
