A quick question about the pedicure bowls as I know it has been covered so many times.

I read that using wooden bowls isn't all that great as they can absorb water etc so a glass bowl has been recommended to me. I have read through the threads to do with pedi bowls but haven't yet found an answer.

Has anyone found a decent glass pedi bowl other than TK Maxx, which is all down to luck?!

The reason I ask is that I'm getting tired of cleaning out my footspa only to move it and get a whole load of water and scrub come out from under the vibrating plates, and I just like the look of wooden/glass bowls.

Had been thinking of a wooden pedi bowl from Beauty Express before...

Ok, not so quick question. Sorry for the essay!

How about one like this with disposable liners, this is what I have , no more scrubing lol Buy Footsie Bath Beverly Hills from Beauty Express

I also have my old faithfull washing up bowl !

Some techs go to ikea for bowls and glass beads and polished stones to go in them, I think for mani glass is ok but I'm not sure if i would use glass for feet ,

Ooh good ideas, I'll make a note and put them on my to buy lists. Even if I didn't use the ikea bowl for pedi's it would be a good way to carry round everything for the time being.

I got my pedi bowl from Dobbies garden centre and loved them soo much I bought 2. They also came with a matching jug that can be used to pour warm water over a clients feet whilst soaking in the bowl, my clients love it :D

That's a nice idea, I can see why clients like it. Will have a look and see if I can get something matching... thank you.

I bought most of mine from home decor stores. Some are galvanized tubs that are meant for icing down drinks--they are 11" wide by14" long and 4-6" deep, others are the large glass bowls that are meant for decoration to put floating candles in or other decor.
I have a half dozen of them and keep them in individual plastic bags when not in use and I think my clients like seeing me take a clean bowl out of the bag from the cabinet for each pedi client. Having that many allows me to disinfect them all at the end of the day.

That's a good idea. Shame I can't do something similar when mobile, I guess I could have a couple and take them around with me if I have two or more pedi's in a day.

You really could! The ice bucket ones stack inside each other and you can buy plastic liners specifically made for them. I'll look around and see if I still have the website address and post it for you.
