Hi

I use creative products and have started using NSI glaze n go ... can someone go thru the steps ....

finish with 180, buff with 240, solar oil and then glaze n go ...?

Or is there something else i should be doing, ie should oil go on last, should I not be using 240 ... whats the best way?

Thanks

Have you ever take Brisa UV Gel Basic? They will tell you how to put Brisa Topcoat to finish L&P BUT it's not recommended.

I don't know much about Glaze 'N Go but I tried it once, It's different to Brisa Top Coat.

One question why do you have to finish by gel topcoat?

If we do the L&P and apply gel top coat, it's real pain for rebalance and we have to buff them off later.

Why don't we finish with the way they should be, shine them off. It's easier, saving cost and I just like the shine surface for acrylic.

Hi

I use NSI and I finish with 180 grit and then glaze n go. Cure for 90 secs then oil to finish. hth xx

I haven t done BRISA gels training yet ... as for why i like to use a UV top coat, well I like the high shine it gives and i don't really think glaze and go takes much more time to buff off ...

I just wanted to make sure i was doing the right steps in the right order...

Gel top coats need a roungh filed surface to bond to. Finish with your 180 then apply your gel top coat. Make sure you wrap it round the free edge to prevent shrinking. Also I do 4 fingers then the other 4 fingers then the 2 thumbs. Some gel lamps have bulbs in the side(Im sure the latest Cnd one does) so you wouldn't need to do the thumbs separate but mine doesn't. Also what lamp are you using as the cnd lamp is very powerful so if you are not using the cnd top gloss you might find you will end up over curing and the nails looking yellow.

Thanks Sian.

I use the NSI lamp ... its a small one ... ideal for mobile.

...and then would you use solar oil at the end????? If you buff before applying teh glaze and go what would happen//?

The reason i ask is that I have used Glaze n go on one of my cleints who gets very little or no lifting at all ... the first and only time I used it on her she had lifted loads by her next appt AND had lost a few nails ... I wasnt sure if buffing and oiling first could have been a cause of this, or if it was just a co-incidence.

I have always used glaze and go and found it to be absolutely fine however in the salon i work in they use perma gloss from NSI and switched glaze n go and also changed the glue at the same time and started getting breakages but we put it down to the glue as the gel topcoat doesnt give strength to the nail. I would say it was most probably coincidence but you could always call them as they are really helpful xx

If you apply oil before hand them the gel will not adhere effectively to the enhancement, you also need to apply it to a rough surface for it to take hold, does this make sense?

Is the lamp you are using a 36 watt tunnel lamp?

xx

im suprised the glaze n go cured properly having used solar oil before applying it.
glaze n go is a fab product which my clients love and i wouldnt be without.
once ive finished the nail using my 180 grit file i then clean each nail using cleanse to remove dust etc.. and then apply glaze n go to all 5 nails as i use a 36w one hand lamp.but i like to cure for longer than the 90seconds so i cure for roughly 2 mins as i feel it gives a better shine, then i apply cuticle oil

if you buff the gel will not adhere properly...just like if you oil before applying it...so if you do both then you are bound to get issues like it separating. Also its important not to put too much on so it does not flood down into the side walls etc as when the nail grows there will be a ridge which the clients will end up picking at. The nsi lamp will be fine for your glaze and go. i tend to not oil immediatly the nails are removed from the lamp i wait approx 30 seconds as i find if you oil too soo it dulls the shine

There is a web site nailangel.co.uk It has videos which inc gng. Its an nsi site. HTH
