Here's my current nails. My black glitter wasn't sparkly at all so I mixed in some holo gold and silver.

I'm not sure i I'd be better with a chunkier glitter I never think my rockstars look as bling and glittery as other people's. I use ultra fine glitter.

For more bling dont pat down the glitter so much. When you really burnish it in it gives a more satin apearance.

Yeah I think that's my issue. I'm going to try adding it to the wet colour coat next time I think instead of the tacky layer and see if that's better for me. When I add it to the tacky layer I end up burnishing it in too much to stop too much of it falling out when I topcoat it.

Loving the kirakira app :)
These were mine last week x

I'm getting ready to redo my toes when I realized I had experimented technique on the glitter. The picture does not pick up on how much more blinky the left one is. The right one I pressed the glitter down smooth so it looks satiny. The left one I laid the glitter down with the side of the brush into the tacky layer. Do not dab with the end of the bristles. Then only pat down any pieces that are really sticking up. Then I float on a coat of topcoat. Don't worry about polishing that well. You're just trying to to wet the glitter not move it. Cure. Now topcoat really well with attention to the sidewall that you probably missed with the first topcoat. If any glitter is sticking up, file gently, topcoat again, cure. I'll take a pic about holding the brush. HTH

The first picture results in more blink using the brush flat. Have fun!

I'm using gelicure with glitter

and just this week tried out the method where you just put glitter on the tacky layer

the result is totally different from when you put it on the layer when its not cured

not cured - intense glitter

cured - shiny more foil effect

Mine tonight.
