can anyone offer advise on glitter bio sculpture gels? On my training for bio sculpture i could have sworn my tutor said that instead of buying the glitter gel pots i could just mix some colour glitter powder with the clear gel? Does this work? I was going to practice doing a glitter pink and white french manicure? Any advice on this and which glitter powders are best would be appreciated. is it as simple as just mixing in an empty jar some clear gel and glitter dust? thanks x x

Hey hun
This is what I do, I decant some gel enough to do a full set from my pot into a glass dappen dish, add some glitter I use lechat nail glittters, nail graphix ones are good, and this works well for me, angelfingers bought some pots to store her colour mixes, im just about to pm her to ask where she got them from lol.

Glitter looks fab with french nails

Angelfingers posted the details of the pots in the Bio group. She go them off Ebay....can't ree,ber the name of the seller but the inof is in there!

Use S-gel to mix your glitter with.....if you use clear it makes it difficult to cure.....clear is a bug*er to cure at the best of times! And it is stronger than clear.

Make sure your glitter is fine, and add it bit by bit. Personally I think its worth buying one pot of Bio glitter gel so you can see the consistency and then you know what you are working to! 2041 is nice and popular so you'll make you money back on it!

Thanks for that TIP TOP, ive just looked up both lechat and graphix glitter pots. there seems to be a huge difference in price from£2.50 for lechat and £7 for graphix. i can not seem to see what size pots they are to see what is best to get, but i do think graphix has more colour range.

thanks zingara, i did wonder which one best, so i would do a base of clear and then mix some of the glitter with number 1 and the same but a pink colour glitter to whichever nail plate colour or just add the glitter to the s-gel? sorry, its probably so much easier to just buy coloured gliter gel from bio but i like to try differnet things :)

I just mix S-gel and glitter....i never mix it with a colour....it loses its....erm, glitter! And yes, put it over a clear base, apply glitter tips, cure, build with S-gel, cure, wipe refine (glitter will go dull at this point) and use sealer which will bring glitter shine back.

I use top coat as well for extra shine.
