where about do you get all your stuff?

where about do you get all your stuff?

I use NFU.oh products and they have a huge range of colours and glitters. I havent got any myself yet because i'm still training and want to perfect my p&w before i start on the arty things  but there is a NFU.oh social group on here if you want to take a look at pictures of some of the work thats been done with them or have a look on www.affinitinailandbeauty.com they are the NFU.oh distributor in uk and have so many colours and sparkles!! :)

Well you are going to be sorry you asked this question because if you go to the affinitinailandbeauty.com you will see the biggest range of top quality colours and glitters you have ever seen in your life! I have quite a few of them now and still a lot on my wishlist. You will be sorry as you will become obsessed! You will see them in your sleep and your bank balance will definitely take a bashing!!! Beautiful products though and really, really excellent customer support where nothing is too much trouble and you are always important to them!

I had a result and found some glitter in a local art and craft shop for 99p for 4 different color pots. They had a whole range of colors also. See the image, I got 4 of them pots for 99p. The glitter then sets beautifully in clear gel, with another layer on top.

Several companies do supply glitters and or coloured/glitter powders Young Nails, EzFlow, Nail Delights and of course, as Gigi has mentioned, Natural Nails supplies Nail Graphix Glitters, to name but a few.
at Affiniti we do like to think we have an excellent and extensive range, and it is great to see our geeky customers think so too. :)

Christine....I see from your profile that you specialise in Gel nails, therefore is it more the glitters rather than coloured acrylic powders you were interested in?
Opal Glitters are particularly lush when used with gel, as are Diamond glitters. I know most glitters are relatively inexpensive, so it won't break the bank to try a few out, lol!
HTH

we have some new glitter colours just in and more on their way so keep an eye on them

Buying glitters from nail suppliers is expensive and pointless as 9 times outta 10 you have to hand mix them anyway. I use a ratio of 1/5 glitter to acrylic. I buy my glitters from craft stores and pound shops. On occasion I will buy them at nail suppliers but only if they are less than a £1/pot.

For gel, we just encase them without mixing within two clear layers.

In terms of coloured acrylic I am still on the lookout for the best ones. As I am in LA right now and there is a nail supply store on my hotels street, I've bought unbranded ones and have just purchased a trial of OPI Absolute FX Chromatones which are amazing as they are so pigmented. (my boyfriend is complaining that i am stinking out the hotel room! haha!) They come in primary colours + black + white so you can mix your own. I've also bought two EZ Flow ones to test out and some Young Nails.

I would really like to have all the same brand though in our drawers so want to find somewhere with a full colour range. Also to find softer colours and natural colours.

I really want to push 3D Japanese style art in our salon this year so finding the right colours are important! We wont have time to custom mix for every detail...

Nail art can be found everywhere! Hobbycraft, dolls shops, stationers.... My motto is, as long as its thin enough, i'll stick it on a nail...

woah....just been on affiniti's site........and still on it.....lovely stuff!

It's fab isn't it? I can confirm to anyone that the glitters, mixes and coloured powders are so much better in real life as well!! Easy to work with and enough pigment in them to look fab and consistant every time!

That has made my day!!....as I am a big fan of what you and your team at Wah Nails are doing for Nail Art in our Industry. Mentions in The Sunday Times Style Magazine, Grazia magazine and I see you also have some of your handpainted nail art on the 365 days of nail art site. http://blogs.nailsmag.com/365NailArt/Default.aspx...the only UK nails on there (so far! lol).
Makes me wonder what you could do when you try some Nfu.OH!!!!

awwww, thanks so much! To be honest, I really want to take WAH Nails nationwide to offer a wide spread high street nail alternative to the NSS. Good nail salons are so few and far between that if I have to captialise on suddenly being in fashion then im going to make as much use of it as possible!

Will try some Nfu.Oh soon! We're working on two new concessions so really need to get in more supplies!
