Glitter in gel!

Hi geeks,

Just a quick one... I have just done my gel conversion course (soo much easier than acrylic lol) I have some nail graphix glitters which i have been using mix with acrylic powders, but how do you use it with gel!

I never mix the glitter in with gel....I apply clear gel where i want the glitter to be, don't cure, dab the glitter onto the clear gel with a spare brush, cure, seal the glitter with another layer of clear gel, cure...HTH x

I do it a couple of different ways:

For a deeper effect I sprinkle glitter over an uncured layer of clear gel and then cure. I have also done it they way Angie says above or dip a spare brush into clear gel, then dip into the glitter and then apply where needed.

I have used glitter in the gel the same as the above mentioned posts, but sometimes I do mix the glitter directly in the gel.
What I do is put a glob of gel on the shiny side of the paper backing used with the nail forms and mix a bit of glitter with the gel. This way I can precicely apply the glitter gel exactly where I want to without flecks of glitter where I don't want them. This method is also good because I am not contaminating a whole pot of gel with glitter.

I mix mine with clear gel in an empty gel pot (I keep my empties).

I mix mine with top coat so that I can keep a nice thin layer - I guess we all have our favourite ways

Hi I mix mine on a piece of glass, easy to clean and a bit heavier than the paper (which I always seems to drop on the floor)
The glass piece is the size of a tile (is that the right word?)
And I have a spare gel brush to use with glitters...

I either apply glitter directly with a brush or add some glitter to a gel pot that's nearing it's end.
