Ive only ever used my glitters on the tip, not pre mixing with gel but applying a very thin layer of clear, dabbing glitter where I want it, then sealing, buffing and top gloss.

My client for a rebalance wanted like a virgin graphix over her french white. So I applied my gel, buffed to shape, applied pow and just sprinkled glitter over .. finishing with topgloss.

She was happy but I wasnt too sure myself, they appeared slightly thicker at the free edge than I would of liked.

Is there a different way I could of done this? or perhaps im just being a fuss pot? Im thinking of buying a whiter looking glitter to use alone instead of sprinkling over pow.

you can do it this way or apply a bit of clear on your brush then dip into glitter then apply 'patting' onto the smile.

It 'can' look a bit thicker with glitter on....try drizzling a bit of gel at the back of your smile (apex) to create the 'illusion' of a 'thin' free edge.

also....did the glitter feel a bit rough? i'd put clear over it ...buff then top gloss

They didnt feel too bad actually, quite smooth with only the odd little bit of rough areas. But I wasnt happy about that!

there are a few different ways to do it - no right way no wrong way just have a play .

You could also...build your nail wipe and file.

Apply white smile dip in glitter , tap off excess cure......do all 10 fingers then clear over the nail....shape if needs be....top gloss

Yeah its definately a case of having a play. I dont usually get asked for it, they normally have straight out glitter applied.

Applying the clear and buffing sounds good. Will elimate that slight heaviness. Thanks hun xx

I normally thin the free edge down loads when they want POW and glitter...so when i have finished filing the nail looks quite an odd shape......but this allows for the extra room needed for glitter and helps keep the nail looking sleek. HTH
