Can anyone recommend a glitter either the kind we have to mix or one that is already in the acrylic that you can actually file and it not turn silver? Again I want to be able to file it before I can in clear and it not turn silver.

Nfu.Oh...absolutly amazing quality and a huge range of coulours and types of glitter.
Very glittery and sparkly.
They are available pre mixed ready for use or on thier own for you to mix yourself.

Can you tell I'm a fan? :green:

Why would you want/need to file before capping in clear? If you're using your brush to sculpt your shape and not filing your enhancement to shape then you shouldn't need to file before applying your clear.

As far as I'm aware (although this could be way off the mark lol), all glitters need a thin layer of clear/sheer pink to ensure they don't go silvery when you buff... I thought that was the same for all brands...:?:

I have allways caped with clear but if ive been a bit overzelous with my filing (on my self) I've taken my ears away and needed to top them up with a glitter, I've filed over the nfu.oh glitter without it loosing it's colour and turning silver.
Some other gliters I've done this with has gone silver.

all metallic based glitters will file silver as they are simply painted or dyed so they need to be capped in clear. polyester based glitters do not file silver because they are flakes and colored all the way through. craft stores will often put metallic glitters and poly glitters in different areas so ask a salesperson:)

Also I find no matter the brand or type of Glitter once capped in clear they POP (cant think of a better word.. perhaps stand out??) so much better... the thinner you do your Glitter the easier it is to cap and then move on to zone 2 without fussing with a file in between.. just my opinion.

It is for when I do a design not just the whole free edge in one color or like the pinwheel look things like that.
