Hi,

I wonderd if any the experts here could clarify this for me. I have noticed my gel (I use NSI) has gone a little more gloopy and stringy in the pot and I wonder if this might be why I'm getting a little lifting on my nails, particularly at the free edge.
The gel is about 5 months old now - I only do my own nails with it.

I keep it well sealed and out of the light when not in use. How long does gel usually last?
Thanks
Scarlett

I've kept gel for years. It should not be changing character and if it is then it is being affected by light or extreme temperature.

Hi Hun,
I have NSI Balance gel which is much older than that........No probs.
Give NSI a call, they may of had a bad bach around the time you bought yours, or they may know what is wrong with it.
If it was near heat or over heating pipes it would have gone solid in the pot.
Hope you get it sorted.
Lotsa luv x  x

Is it kind of an white opaque colour too and looks like it's full of air bubbles?
I had a similar problem myself - i spoke to customer services and they told me to send them the 'faulty' one and they replaced it for me. i too have other pots that i've had for ages - since 2006 - and they are still fine and perform as they should. hth's :)

Can you restore gloopy gels????

I would not think this would be a good idea to try and restore it. Something is obviously not right, be that your fault or NSI's.

I would contact NSI and organise to send it back, I'm sure they would be more than happy to replace it if it's bad batch and happy to be made aware of the issue to avoid future problems.

Too many people buy products (not just nail stuff) and get a bad batch, never tell the company so they can replace and recify the problem but then are put off using the product cause of the bad experience, of which I think is unfair (not saying you are going to do this, it's just a comment:))

Even the best of companies get bad batches every now and then, it's all done using machines of which humans don't have full control over.

Thanks.dont think ive bn storing my gels properly, think the room may hav bn too cold.
