When doing gel nails I know some people go between hands. i.e. do one finger and that hand goes in the lamp, do one finger on the other hand and switch, and keep going until all fingers are done.(hope that makes sense) I'm thinking about doing this when building the apex. I'm assuming you'd have to do a final cure once all ten nails are done.

Would this cause over-curing? Is over-curing a problem?

When I had Calgel a while ago this is the way they did my nails.

Well i will tell you do what i learnt shall i i:)

I do alternate hands and start like this:

Pinkie and ring finger, cure, thumb,(other hand),cure, middle finger and index finger, cure, middle finger and index finger, cure, thumb, cure and pinkie and ring finger, cure.Got it....?that comes up to 10 fingers, lol:hug:

Just remember you are moving from left to right or right to left on both hands! xx

Just to add you would not have to do a final cure as you have allocated your cure time to those 2 nails, wether it be 30 secs,2 or 3 mins for your own gel system,i do not think this would overcure and for me it works and speeds up time, wile i build an apex:hug:

It would depend on which system you are using. Young Nails would be fine and this is the way we are taught to prevent any movement of the product while you are working on the next nails. Works really well with great, consistant results. :) xx

Thanks for your replies.

I'm doing my sister's nails tomorrow. I think I'll try doing one finger at a time going from hand to hand and get her to put 1 finger in at a time and not the whole hand. That way I'm freezing each nail, then do a final cure.

If I'm not quick enough for that I'll do two fingers each hand and full cure between switches when I do my friends nails on Tuesday night.

Thanks guys. x
