Going self employed after being on benefits

Has anyone here started their career self employed after being on benefits? How did you make that transition?
I’m a single mum of a teenage daughter so I have no back up in terms of a partner who is earning a wage.

I think you should talk to a specialist money adviser such as Citizens Advice or similar before starting training or setting up.
They may know of trusts you can apply to, to help you transition from benefits to a reasonable income so that you don’t fall between the cracks of a failing system.

Best of luck to you too! My main work will be with nails although I’m taking lash and brow courses later in the year. How about you!
