Hi to all waxers! i normally use pot n spatualr but hubby bought me a rooler wax system by Hive for xmas.Iv just set it all up and going to have a play, do you leave the head on till the wax cartridge runs out or take it off after every use and put cap back on cartridge?
Also advice needed on the cleaning of the heads, iv read some threads on this but just wounderd if they was any new technique advice please for the best possible cleaning and care for them.

P.S when the wax heater is heating up with the cartridge in can you put the lid down to heat up quicker or does it have to stay open at all times.Iv read the hive leaflet but to be hones theres not alot of info on that. Can you buy a creme wax aswell for these and are the creme ones any good please?

Sorry for all the question just want to look after the unit as i do with all my equiptment.
Thanks for taking time to read! x:hug:

Anyone please?

Which heater system have you got?

I've got this one......
Hive Europe Roller Depilatory Heater at Hive of Beauty LTD

And I always keep the lid closed at all times, as otherwise the heat escapes so quickly

I obviously clean the roller head in between clients, but I pop them straight back onto the cartridges afterwards and keep them on, I don't bother putting the little caps back on, too much fuss for me

You can use any wax with this heater as long as the cartridges fit (or you pour a tub of wax into the cartirdges to then use)

I've tried the Hive Creme Wax, but not really too fussed with them tbh.
But i LOVE the Hive Honey Wax for these rollers

HTHs xx

Hi thanks for the reply, yes it is the same one as you have got.I dont think i would fancy pouring a tub of wax into the little cartridge as i would get it all over the place lol.So now i know i can put the lid down i thought that about the heat escaping then i thought but what if it got too hot for the lid and craks it,but now thats cleared up its ok.Iv got the hive honey wax so ill be trying that.Iv had it switched on and it all lights up and gets warm so i know it works.Iv switched it off till after tea then ill go up and have a go with it.Any advice would be great thanks x

The lid has been made so that it won't crack, so you don't need to worry about that

It heats up in 20mins which I find really handy

I have the temp on "4" for the honey wax which I find to be the best to work with

Have fun playing xx

Yeh it said on leaflet to use between 4/6 so i put it on 4 i have it on 3 on my pot/spat heater. Thanks again wish me luck lol x

Right had a go on the legs and it was great, but when i did my daughters eyebrow i couldnt get it to work right. The only thing i can think of is that i used oil slightly on them as the legs i didnt.Do you think its the oil that stopped it doing it right it just didnt roll the wax out, ended up tweezing them. How much do you get out of 1 cartridge aswell do you press down when rolling or just roll and let it do its stuff sort of thing please? Any advice on getting the most of of this system would be really appreiated please.Got a client for a full leg and bikini soon so need to get this sorted if possible. Thanks for reading x
