I'm from Finland and we have some power station here with the well known companies (Entity, Creative and so on) and prices go with that also.

So now I'm asking you guys what do you recommend to start with? And ofcourse I have to get products shipped here to Finland. First I'm going to do my own nails but later I wish to work with nails. I'm wonderin dipping acrylic system and I found out that The Egde Nails have that system (but no good feedback about The edge nails?). And I'm wondering that maybe I could go to UK for a training so maybe that kind of brand.

If you have any ideas or business proposals you could send me a private message.

If you are lucky enough to have a CND distributor in Finland then go with CND. You can't get better.

Prices are reflected in what YOU charge for your nails so price is not an issue.

I know a few VERY successful nail techs in Finland who are exclusive CND users and I don't hear anyone complaining. Their charges for service recompense them very well for the products they buy as in any well structured business.

I would love to see these people (the ones who choose to go what they think is the 'cheap' route and who go all over to get products cheaper from sources outside their own countries thinking they are being clever) actually add up every penny they spend for the first year and then compare it to what they would have paid just using the best products and the best training from their own local legally licensed distributors .... and I bet it would be cheaper in the long run to have just done things right from the start. I have heard it too many times from those who have tried it not to know that this is true.

Thank you for your answer. Actually I was thinking some brand I can't get from here :green: This is why I'm asking, what do you think would be the best way to go.

I've had CND's dip nails once before and they have been best for me. Now I have Entity acryls, but I don't like them as much. I was thinking maybe start with some cheaper brand to be sure that nails really something I like to do and when I start doing nails for others then search for a well known brand. Ofcourse people are more willing to pay good well-known product.

It makes no sense to me for you or anyone to struggle getting to grips with cheap products when you can start out right from the start. Sorry .. it makes no sense. Cheap products work differently than the better brands --- they are harder to use and they have more problems ... why do things the hard way and suffer with problems related to cheap products when you do not have to??

You don't have to search a well known brand .. you have the best known and most reliable one right there in CND! You should learn and practice with the best you can afford. Why do everything twice? This is what I mean about paying out more in the end when you start with cheap training and products then just going the obvious and well trodden route.

THOUSANDS ON THIS VERY SITE SAY THEY WISH THEY HAD GONE WITH THE BEST INSTEAD OF GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES TRAINING WITH ONE THING THEN RETRAINING WITH ANOTHER AND ANOTHER AND BUYING ALL THE DIFFERENT PRODUCTS WHICH THEY THEN JUST THREW AWAY .. TIME WASTED, MONEY WASTED, EFFORT WASTED, CONFUSION.

Now, you have asked for advice and you have got it .. and plenty will back me up if they read this post. You have either already made up your mind and just want confirmation from someone/anyone OR you are willing to listen to advice and take it even though it may not be what you wanted to hear.

I am with geeg on this one. I went round the houses training with one brand and then realising that had I gone with CND in the first place I wouldn't have wasted hundreds of pounds on training and products. A lesson learned the hard way.

yep you can't train with the cheap ones, as you won't get a proper feeling of what you are doing right or wrong..

Try calling CND Finland they can talk you through your options!!!

Yep, that's what I've done! AND O.P.I AND I've purchased the cheap brand for my own nails:eek: I want to do my own nails before I can purchase better ones (=go training, because you can't buy them before).

There is such a big difference between 'cheap' brands and real ones that it is not even worth considering. Just working with a 'cheap' brand may put you off the whole nail thing altogether! If you are serious about learning then go for one of the best and you will know then if you are cut out to make a career in nails, it is much easier to learn with a product that does what you want it to. :)

Give CND a call in Finland as you probably won't be able to purchase CND unless you are either in training with them or already trained.

As far as what to use now, I wouldn't suggest using anything until you are training. It is a hard skill and until you start training you will just waste a lot of money on buying products and not making any good nails because you won't know how. Lots of people do this and then give up on nails because they 'cant do it' Its so much easier to be guided through training.

If you are thinking of training in the UK then some of the most popular places for training that have their own products are:

CND
EZ Flow
NSI
Magnetic
Bio Sculpture Gel

Hi huns! :) I really really wanted to tell you that I've booked CND acrylic course on march and I'm so so excited. I used Nubar products for myself to experience it first with some consumer products. And I think I'm getting there why it is good to have proper training and good product when you do nails for customers. Although I don't have nothing to complain about Nubar products to home base consumer use... An expensis for Nubar products for me was about 40 euros
