Government grant?

hello everyone.

i am in the process of starting up self employed beauty and nails, i'll be working in a hair salon.

I wondered if any of you managed to get a grant from the government to help you starting up and with products etc.

How did you go about it?

You could try contacting Business link & the learning and skills council for grants and advice. They differ for every part of the country and are a minefield for criteria. good luck though, i was lucky for my salon tech,s last year we had a training grant to send 2 tech's through some training.

Hi There,
I couldnt get a grant from my government or any help from the bank or local council or any help from business start ups. I had to raise the money on my own which isnt fair. It is because of the business is mobile.
But I would try everything you can!
