It's a bacterial infection (greenie) and is caused by water under the enhancement where the nail has lifted. What nail training have you had? Your profile doesn't say and normally this is covered in training along with what you do about it.

For the record, remove the enhancement, be very careful to thoroughly sanitize the nail, reapply an enhancement and bin all the abrasives you used.

sounds like a bacterial nail infection.....i have had a client with this and have come to the conclusion that it is my mix ration problems that are causing this.....i know my prep and hygiene is good so sure it cant be this.
You need to remove the acrylic and fully prep and sanitise the nail with your prep products....and dispose of any files that you use. You can then re apply your product.
Make sure you fully clean and disinfect any metal tools that you use.

i have trained at an academy in Liverpool, i was trained by a pina pairie techincian but now i use creative. Been doing nails for 18 months and this has never happened

I totally agree with you.
However wouldn't be better to complitely remove the enhancements and leave the nails to "rest" for a couple of days to see how it goes or it should be fine ?
I really don't know what is best!
Plus the fact that i can't stand bacteria and i want to completely get rid of them the minute i see them! lol:Scared:
Well done for the advice!

if you thoroughly cleanse the nail with sanitiser the bacteria will be gone. the green stain will probably remain. this is caused by the faeces of the bacteria, it stains the nail.

I am interested...did you do a conversion course with Creative, or a Foundation? How long was your Pina Pairie(?) course. I would really like to know in order that we can look to the future with our training and ensure that we don't have techs who feel like you do 18 months after training.

The nail course i did in liverpool was a two day course, one day a week the second week was an infill/rebalancing training. I didn't find the course that good to be honest and i have since learnt alot more from this site.

So if you haven't had any Creative training where are you buying your Creative products from? I'm not getting at you, honest! It's just that you can't buy CND products from authorised sources without CND training so if you are buying from an unauthorised source you could be using out of date, illegally imported or fake product.......

I'm not CND trained, but my account with Sweet Squared is currently being set up for the purchase of products. They asked to see a copy of my VCTC Level 2 Nail Treatments and Technology certificates and were happy with those.

I will probably go on to get some CND training in the future, but I do believe that if you are approprately qualified and can prove it then they will set up a primary account for the purchase of products.

Looking forward to seeing everything at the 2 day event (yay):)
