First up; I plan on going to a salon soon to get my hair done. But I don't know what to ask for! I ideally want to have high volume hair which looks like this http://www.arabiaweddings.com/sites/default/files/news/2013/05/cheryl.jpg with little to no maintenance. Would a perm achieve this? I am a complete amateur!

Secondly; my face is very pale but also pretty red and blotchy. I don't drink or smoke so I don't know what's causing it. My undereye bags are pretty dire too, and I can't find makeup pale AND thick enough to cover it all up. My nose is pretty red and porous, whenever I put makeup on it it just seems to disappear, even with primer and powder. I'm after healthy looking pale skin with the same overall shade.

Any hints and tips are welcome~

A good hair dresser and a facial to target the skin itself rather than covering up x

What kind of facial? There are a lot of different types!

I'm trained in dermalogica and the ultracalming range is very good, although the treatments are bespoke to the clients needs and wants x

How would they improve my red skin colour? Sorry to be a pain but you're being a little vague ^_^

The redness will be caused by something it won't be ur natural skin colouring. It may be caused by makeup, cosmetics, the environment, ur working environment (air con, heating), diet, genes, I could go on!
Search for your local certified salon that offers it and they will give you a thorough consultation, skin map and facial. Also aftercare and products to use after wards should u purchase any. They always have free gifts when u send a certain amount.
I cannot recommend then enough x

It's all but impossible to diagnose skin without seeing it.

Go see a qualified facialist and get their advice about how to sort out your skin.

Lynn is right, I was just giving a suggestions x

I'm just looking for suggestions on what to do - I'm not sure it's serious enough to go to a skincare professional about, I kind of worry that nothing could be done about it anyway

I second the advice to try dermalogicas ultra calming range, if you want less 'vague' information I recommend going to a dermalogica salon to have face mapping skin analysis or if you want to know more right this moment you could always google it, you can also find videos on YouTube explaining how it works to calm inflammation in the skin to reduce redness.

Also I know it may seem obvious but that photo is airbrushed to within an inch of reality so don't beat yourself up for not being perfect with that flawless complexion and super thick hair.

Cheryl cole + airbrushing = low self esteem for the rest of us

:)

Xxx

Hehe I don't actually think much of her or her face, it's just the closest thing to the hairstyle I'm after ^_^

My skin does bother my though, I know it can never be flawless it just has such extremes of red and purple from my nose and my eyes u_u
