I’m not qualified in hair extensions yet but I’m doing a course next month for micro rings, nano rings and fusion bonds (I’m so excited) but I’m struggling with choosing a name for my business!

I’ll be offering mobile to start with but I’d eventually like to transition into working from a home salon.

I want to offer high quality hair and appeal to people that want amazing hair for a fair price...not ones looking for a cheap fix!

The names I have are either:

Hair extensions by Yasmin Brooke
Yasmin Brooke Hair extensions

I know they are so boring and unimaginative but I have no other ideas! I’d like to incorporate my name but I’m open to any suggestions at all! Just don’t want anything cheesy I’d like to try and sound sleek and professional.

Thanks! :) Xx

I think the latter (Yasmin Brooke Hair Extensions) is the better of the two, idk why the 'by' just gives it a slight unprofessional tone imo.

To be honest though I've never really liked names in business names, it feels slightly tacky but thats just my personal opinion. The only time I dont mind it is if you're mobile which you will be. Whats most important is that you're happy with the name.

Sorry, I've written loads and havent even given you any suggestions[emoji23] I don't have my creative hat on today! What about Yaslocks? Yas (your name) locks as in hair? Thats the best I can come up with for today[emoji23]

Yeah I know what you mean that was my favourite so far too! It’s so hard to think because everything sounds cheesy to me o_O I think I might just go with that for now because I will be mobile for a long time so people will know who I am and it’s to the point I guess thank you for commenting though I appreciate it!

I use my surname for my business but I don't just specialise in hair extensions. If you are planning on expanding your business and training for other qualifications then maybe just call it Brookes Hair or something simple like that. At least under the umbrella of "hair" you can then go on to other things ie mens hair or ladies hair ect? just a thought x

First things first you want to create a brand for yourself. Marc Jacobs is the name of the fashion brand and the creator, I know that if you didn't add hair extensions onto your business name then people wouldn't know what your purpose is.

But I think you should look out of the box at names that you can have so people can say I go to "brand name" rather than some girl who does mobile hairdressing and you will build a stronger reputation rather than being lost in the crowd and you can move onto getting your own branded products etc.

Thank you all for your replies! @charlottehair i know exactly what you're saying I did think that myself it doesn't sound so good saying oh i go to Yasmin Brooke.

I have actually come up with a name, please let me know what you think! its STRANDED (Hair extensions by Yasmin Brooke)

I've made a facebook and instagram page with that name and i quite like it! :)
