Hair Extension Help!

Hi,

Question to my fellow hair extension technicians on here. How do you work out how much hair you need i.e. strands, grams etc. Extension Academy showed us in gram, friends of mine who are technicians use strands to work out the amount.

Any opinions would be gratefully received x

I assess the hair on thickness, length and what look they want to achieve. I was sent this by one of my hair suppliers :

THIN HAIR
Half Head - 50 - 80 STRANDS
3/4 Head - 75 -100 STRANDS
Full Head - 100 -125 STRANDS

MEDIUM THICKNESS HAIR
Half Head - 100 STRANDS
3/4 Head - 120-160 STRANDS
Full Head - 150 - 200 STRANDS

THICK HAIR
Half Head - 120-160 STRANDS
3/4 Head - 150 - 180 STRANDS
Full Head - 175 - 220 STRANDS
