This may be irrelivent but the title of the thread reminded me. Where I live the neighbouring town have a beauty salon with load of cool retail items everyone I know who wants extensions goes there they sell the clip in human hair ones loads of party pony tails etc. The hairdressers upstairs come down to advise which ones for which client. (always a perfect match!!) They must do so well because everyone I know goes there for them the fact that its not a hair salon is irrelivent as I dont know anyone who gets their hair done with the upstairs they literaly go for the extensions especialy. Think its a great ides hope this helps xxx

Thats exactly wat i want to do, i my beauty salon. But im not sure i want to go the whole way as in hairdressing course, cause you probs need to cut, possibly colour and maybe style. Thats where it gets confusing for someones whos not trained in hairdressing. I might be wrong, but i cud just see it happening to me, a lady will come in with dyed bobbed and choppy hair and ask for extentions, i would have to colour match with home dyed hair!? cut and layer ...oh my word, i feel if i dont do a hair dressing course, i wont be doing a hair extension course.

However, i do offer coloured ones, just streaks at moment, i can attach and remove, and theres no colour matching involved and i can blend them in easily as ive had basic cutting training (then i left the course).

Thats a very good price to offer in your salon.

Hopefully they will train you in caring for them too, as mine went from sexy and silky to dry looking in less that 24 hours.

If you need a guinea pig im here!! Id love half a head done.

whos training you?

Ive just noticed your practically round the corner from me! Im in B'ham. dont worry im moving soon, no competition there, haha.:)

I recently had my hair extensions done, my mate was learning, (at the very beginning) had a half head, but i looked like pat sharpe, as my hair was too short, and they ext. 20" great colour match, but i did all that (dying my hair and got lucky ordering off net) but as she didnt cut it and i was too embarassed to go to hairdressers (and skint) i sat and pulled them all out, it took 24hours and a lot of paracetamol!oh the pain

Funnily enough though, i fell back in love with my short hair, as it thinned it out with loosing a bit thorugh pulling them out (i have very thick hair)

Bit of a waffle there for ya, but just thought id share my experience.:lol:
