On the last sunny weekend in October, more than 1000 international guests from all over the world travelled to Paris to celebrate the glamorous presentation of this years La Biosthétique International Beauty Stylist Award in the trendy club VIP Room.
From a total of twenty-three national winners, the high-calibre international jury of experts chose Australian Joseph Debrincat as the overall winner. They fell in love with his look, a lively short haircut. The award ceremony was followed by partying and dancing, accompanied by captivating show acts, till the early hours of the morning.
The La Biosthétique Paris management and the Weiser family invited everyone to Paris for the ultimate annual beauty event.
On Saturday evening, there were already 400 international guests enjoying an impressive dinner in the Eiffel Tower, as well as in the historic Parisian trendy restaurant La Coupole to get them in the mood for a weekend full of highlights. On Sunday, visitors were given the opportunity to explore the sophisticated and elegantly designed premises of the La Biosthétique headquarters, overlooking the iconic Champs-Elysées.
Subsequently, the international La Biosthétique Artistic Team with Alexander Dinter, Andrea Bennett and Stéphane Gallien impressed their audience with their French Icons presentation, which they held in the Yoyo Club in Palais de Tokyo. The presentation focused on legendary hairstyles of world-famous French icons such as Brigitte Bardot, Jean Seberg, Lou Doillon and Jane Birkin of course all styles were given a modern twist.
Inspired by the Parisian spirit of fashion and beauty, this extravaganza was followed by guests returning to their hotels to transform into glamorous attire for the upcoming highlight of the weekend. Guests met in enchanting evening dresses, breathtaking hairstyles and chic make-up looks in the exclusive VIP Room, host Jean-Marc Weiser, La Biosthétique Paris Managing Director, welcomed his guests who had travelled here from all over the world.
The excitement rose to a crescendo, and presenter Luca held everyone in suspense as he first invited each one of the 23 national winners to come up on to the stage. Meanwhile, the amazingly beautiful looks were presented again on big screens. Jean-Marc Weiser presented a certificate of participation to all the winners.
Now the time had come. Alexander Dinter (Creative Director of the International La Biosthétique Artistic Team) and Andrew Barton (styling star at Londons Covent Garden) announced the international jurys favourites. And he had travelled many miles to be part of this unique celebration!
Both styling icons agreed that they were truly spoilt for choice. Nevertheless, there could only be one winner. And on that evening, a dream came true for Joseph Debrincat from Melbourne, Australia. The jury loved his look a modern, trendy short haircut with lots of movement. Alexander Dinter: Joseph Debrincat shows us the perfect interpretation of the modern and natural La Biosthétique look. The jury loved the hair colour, cut, model and make-up, and not least the overall look. Well done!
The happy winner from the La Biosthétique Foxy Salon in Melbourne can now look forward to a high-calibre prize: He will be accompanying the International La Biosthétique Artistic Team on a trend tour in spring 2015.
Joseph Debrincat was overjoyed after the award ceremony: I cant believe it and am happy and proud about this award. Everyone was happy for the likeable stylist from Down Under and could hardly wait to celebrate his sensational success with him.
The emotional award ceremony was followed by equally emotional presentations from guitarist Gee-K and Men in Heels, famous from the popular Britains got talent TV show. After their performance, the 1000 dance-crazy La Biosthétique coiffeurs could barely contain their urge to dance the night away. The VIP Room served as an international beauty dance floor into the small hours of the morning.
Like each year, the 2014 International Beauty Stylist award show was a real highlight in the world of La Biosthétique. Hundreds of coiffeurs look forward to another opportunity to win the coveted title in 2015.
