Hey guys,

Back to the studying Hairdressing thing...

I have been doing a bit of research to find out what courses are available near me, and there are 2 that I am currently looking at.

They are both titled "Hairdressing, Salon support, pre-apprentiship, Level 2" (some of that might not mean anything to you unless your from NZ)

The problem is, one course is for 18 weeks, and the other 36 weeks.

I think to become qualified, you need to either study for 2 years, or do the course im looking at, and finish your qualifications as an apprentiship in a salon.

So, that course is usually 1 year long (36 weeks), so how can a polytech offer the same qualification in half the time? Is it even possible to condence all of the info into this space of time?

Just wondering whether I should continue looking into it, or should I just forget the 18 week course?

Sorry its long, your thoughts on this are much appreciated :)
