UK hairdressing’s biggest names are continuing to urge salons across the country to support HAIRraising, which aims to raise £1million for operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

“Raising money for such a good cause will also give you the chance to win some incredible prizes donated by the appeal co-founders - some of hairdressing’s best known names,” confirmed John Frieda, who founded the charity.

Frieda has joined forces with some of the hair industry’s finest including Daniel Hersheson, Mark Hayes, Errol Douglas, Nicky Clarke, Andrew Barton, Louise Galvin and Richard Ward to promote and support the charity’s cause.

So far a number of high profile salons have lent their support by running individual fundraising activities. Recently HOB Salons donated £1,575 from money collected at the launch of its Amersham branch.
May Bukauskiene, franchise salon owner of HOB in Amersham, said: “Holding this fundraising day has been a great way to mark our opening, whilst helping an incredible cause such as HAIRraising.”

Participants will be eligible to win prizes, which include lunch with Vidal Sassoon, a week with Nicky Clarke and a trip to Paris or Milan assisting Sam McKnight.

This is great to read.....many old school geeks will know that my 3 year old daughter is only alive today thanks to Gt Ormond St hospital. Its is a wonderful hospital, filled with some of the most caring & selfless people in the medical profession.

I truly hope it is all a great success.
