I was looking into training with the carlton Institute, but everyone was kind enough to recommend other options.

Has anyone trained with The Adcademy (the 5 in 1 Course)? The Academy

If so was it any good?
Where did you stay?

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Hi there, I have no personal knowledge but I trained with CND and I have to say that you will not go far wrong if you choose one of the main suppliers of nails and do their in house training, there are lots on offer, also it seems alot to cover in 5 days, the foundation course I did covered nail preparation and applying a tip and overlaying with l & p. Believe me, that was enough to take in without doing all other types of application. My advice would be to stick with a good product and use their training, you can always expand your knowledge at a later date. Just search the forums for training and you will find loads of information. Hth. xx

Classyclaws is right - there is no way you can learn 5 systems in 5 days! On the FAQs they reckon you can start worl on the public 'immediately' after the course and there is no mention of what it takes to qualify or what products you use.......

My advise is to stay well away. Again CC had good advise - go to a well-known and reputable company (CND, EzFlow, Young Nails, NSI) and embark on a structured training program.

Hi Sarah

I have to agree with the other girls on this, for the money you spend to learn several different systems in 5 days (this is impossible!!!!) I really think you would be better to spend that money on ONE system be it Gel or Acrylic, there is NO way you will come out ready to work on your mates let alone paying clients....believe me I am not mentioning any companies here but i do speak from experience. If you want to PM me please do but please don't waste your money. Start with one system perfect it and then move on to another if you feel the need, no way can you perfect any system by being trained for max 5 hours in a day on a nail trainer!!!!

Hi Sarah,

Please please please don't go there. I went there for my inital 'training' and it was awful.

PM me if you want more details!

Hi no please don't waste your money. I did the uv gel course with them. Thought it must be me not getting it, so went back again have tried and tried to do nails but there is so much to it and so many questions that crop up. You definatly need a proper course. I have now given up on extensions as i just cant pour more money in to it.
Good luck fining a great course you will enjoy it so much more knowing you will finish training knowing everything there is to know.
