Hi, i recently went for a facial myself and they used a heated small bean bag cushion (like a sausage!) under my neck which was lovely! Ive searched and can't seem to find one and would love to offer this for my facial clients, does anyone use one or know where i can get one please? Also any ideas for making my facial extra special? Many thanks :)

It sounds like a wheaty bag. Mine is a wheat and lavender heat pack, it heats up in the microwave and is lovely to use with your treatments. I actually got mine from a gift shop but im sure you can get them from most department stores etc and maybe lakeland might have them. I paid about £4 for mine...x

We use these in our salon as well, for pedicures, facials and massage, under the feet.Ours is a wheatgerm and lavender bag and you can buy them in Savers or most department stores.Shop around though because some charge the earth and they are all do the same thing.

If you have no joy in the shops check out ebay - bought one for my Mum to use at home.

I always offer the client either a scalp massage, hand and arm massage or foot massage while their mask is on and that goes down well.

One of the salons local to me had a unique way of starting their facial. They put a heated towel (heated by a radiator/heater as it wasn't damp) over your neck and up around your face exposing only nose any mouth. While this was on you were told just to take deep breaths and they massaged the top of your chest and shoulders. Then they took this off and offered aother heated towel for your abdomen - just lovely.

I have something similar, mine is a cherry stone pillow. I have a neck one also. Available from a company called opal. I prefer them to the wheat bags I have because you can put the whole thing in the washing machine and the tumble dryer, bit more hygenic as you cant wash the inside bit of the wheat bag.:)

Thanks very much for the replies, the cherry stone one sounds ideal!

We wrap ours in couch roll and towel so no need to worry about washing it:green:
