wondered how you all did this and what you used. Any recommendations?

Many thanks,x

Just a normal single bed electric blanket.

I'd thought of this but would it be ok with the Vynl bed?

I've not had a problem but I'm mobile so the most it's on for is three hours before a break, you can put a towel underneath if you are worried.

How long do they take to heat up? and do you knock it off when a client is on the bed?

I turn it on low and leave it on that level but they each have their own guidelines, it will come with instructions. It heats up almost instantly.

I also use one of these. I usually make sure it is hot and then turn it down when the client gets in.

I use an underblanket, but you can also get ones that go over the top.

Never had a problem with my bed.

You can get them for about £20

Thanks for all your help. Will be giving it a go then.x

Thanks a bunch,xx

Hi,

I too use an electric blanket, got mine from argos was about £30, has 9 level heat settings, I have mine on from 11-8pm every day (in the cold months) and its fine, I put the towelling couch cover on first then electric blanket then a blanket over the top followed by couch roll.

All my clients love it and I wouldnt be without one!

Love Emma x:hug:x

I've just invested in a heated blanket from Lakeland. It's fleecy too and is washable.
I'm fed up of being too warm to work (I'm at that 'hot-flush' age) and almost fainting during a hot stone massage !!!!!
So now the client is toasty and I'm cool.

Are the electric blankets ok when using oils for massage, etc?

i have bought 2 electric blankets and neither worked ????

I think i'll have to try again as i think it gives a real luxury feel to the treatment.

hi ya, i brought an electric blanket it is called the thermo wellness system got it from ellison a few years back it is a very impressive blanket and under blanket, i use it for body wraps, facials, the under blanket when doing massage and both when doing facials, it was 375.00 for both i think but well worth it, have a look x

Thanks Raya, although i'm not looking to pay that much..

I'm sorry to jump in on this thread, but can you use an electric blanket on an electric bed? I don't want to damage the electronics.

Yes it is fine, I have an electric couch too and have never had any problems!

I have a wipeable one from thalgo and it has a top and a bottom so you can be snug as a bug in a rug!
Probably a bit more on the expensive side but it's fab!

mmm, that's sounds lovely. Do you have to use Thalgo to get one? xx

No but had mine a while now and can't seem to find it on the net. Maybe you could ring them and ask if they still do them!
