I have this client who's crazy about christmas and on friday she wants me to do som christmas-nail art for her. Normally this would not be a problem since I do like to do nail art and I seldom run out of ideas but this time it's a little tricky.

The client has made it clear that she doesn't want anything "cute". Me, I can't think of anything about christmas that isn't cute.

She can't stand the smell of L&P so I have to do gel and/or my backscratchers extreme system (sorta tip'n'dip).

Looked through our wonderful geek gallery but couldn't find anything uncute enough - so now I'm looking to all you geeks for some much needed braintrust!

big hug!
/Mia

Do you have coloured gels ?

I don't like cute either, so I do red or gold glitter tips with a sprig of holly painted on with green gel and red stones for the berries.

I actually got the idea from Sparklepink who did an L&P Tutorial, but it does work well in gel too, although not 3D

glitter tips with holly, snowflakes, baubles  All christmas nail art is cute its supposed to be, does she not want to feel all warm n fluffy inside?

Maybe you can do snowflakes and rhinestones? I'm doing that for my client because she thinks she's too old for snowmen and christmas trees (pffffft)

Thanks for all the great ideas my fellow geeks! I think I'm gonna go for the holly and maybe some snowflakes (this girl is over the top, she'll want it all!).

The christmas lights were amazing! If I get some time to practice them that would be so cool! Maybe som barbed wire cristmaslights. LOL At least then she can't complain 'bout the cuteness. :)

Here are some ideas. They're all my old ones, but you said 'not cute'... and these are what I came up with that wasn't cute. I think if you do just about anything, but stick to very VERY christmas colours.. and classic styles.. OR GLITTER :green: she should be pleased. Good luck:

an old old set I did (this is actuall "tip-n-dip" as you call them, from 4yrs ago)

As it would be here also, that is this year my Christmas nails… a few Christian roses, or in red as Christmas star
