Hi All
I've recently set up a business page on facebook for my salon - never done facebook before so I'm learning as I go! There are some great pages out there belonging to fellow geeks with different tabs at the top for Special Offers etc. how do you do that??? Hope someone can help!
Many thanks.

I can't help but this something I would like to know also.

The reason being that I have 80 followers and not one says a thing etc so I would like to encourage interaction etc. Any ideas on this? I thought special offers etc may be a way to go...?

Hi there,

If you click on Edit page it will take you to all of the options such as settings etc, if you scroll to the bottom you will see the tab More Applications - click Browse More underneath and it will give you a whole selection of different applications you can add to your page. You can choose reviews, coupons and all sorts!!!

Claire - have you thought about adding the polls application? You could ask your fans to comment on which treatment is their favourite so it will get it rolling. I find once someone has commented once the others are more keen to do so too!

Hope that helps x

Lou_Lou I just had a look and it seems you can get an application for just about anything. Very easy. :)

Thanks Kelly, do you think this will work if it's on a Business Page and not a whol new profile? Don't want the poll (or anything else) on my own personal page.

Edit: Answered it myself, had a play and found you can choose which page you put it on.

Hi I would like to know how you start by placing your Salon on Facebook, sorry if im being a bit thick

Hi Teri,

I think with Facebook they like you to have a business page where people can 'like' it rather than a whole new profile where you become friends with it if you know what I mean?

What I did was go the help section under Account (top right) and go to Pages for Business. Welcome to Facebook

Then followed the steps and voila, I have my own business page that I access when on my personal profile. Just type the business name in the search bar and it comes up. Don't forget to 'like' your own page and share with friends! :) hths

There is an aplication called FTML - its facebooks version of HTML and allows you to add new tabs and customise whats in them.

I don't come on here that often anymore but if you need any help pm me or just google ftml.

Hi Claire
Thanks so much I will get straight to it.
Have a great weekend
