This week I have my first paying spray tan customers , and I'm sooo worried about the palms and finger tips of the customers.

when practising I have been using Vaseline as a barrier cream the feed back I have had has been good apart from their finger tips have looked orange!!!!

I don't understand why as I ensure that the palms have a thick layer of Vaseline, could this been a problem of the client touching them selves esp in their sleep if so how can I prevent this from happening?? :irked:

Can any one help as to why this happens? As I really do not want to mess things up as this is a party of 5 people which could lead to more bookings.

All your help would be a MASSIVE HELP!!!

Thanks

I know its easier said than done but time to.....chill..take a deep breath and just chill...look into my eyes..look into my eyes....everything will be ok and like me you will also stop smoking LOL :lol::hug:

Seriously though if your applying a barrier cream as thick as Vasaline and assuming you are covering these areas fully the...well...its not you its your customers touchy touch in the night kind of thing..."how very dare they":lol:

And the cure is
1) either get em to wear gloves while they sleep or a pair of socks on their hands
2) get them to apply a good moisturizer to the palms of their hands...and fingertips:rolleyes::lol: before retiring to bed.
3) get handcuffed to the bed head..that ought to stop em touching.

Any of the above options are guaranteed to work

I don't use any barrier cream at all, but I use a baby wipe at the end of my spray tans and hold it so the client can rub their palms on it, then I go over their nails on hands and feet. This way we know that there is nothing on these areas before they leave and always remind them not to touch their skin.
If they are touching their skin, then colins advice above is fab x
