Hi, I'm no expert, although I've been doing quite a few of them lately. A few suggestions are to work fairly wet, put your first colour at the free edge and then lightly graduate it in the direction of the nail plate. You then put your second colour down a little way away from the first and lightly pull it towards the first one, taking care not to obliterate it. The two colours should then start to look as though they're fading into each other as opposed to being two distinct blocks of colour, iykwim? You need to work quite quickly or you won't be able to get the glitters to merge.

Hope that helps a bit until someone more experienced posts. :)

I agree with Deena, your nails look like they have been left in 2 blocks of colour. Do as above and you should be fine

Deanna and Stevie are right, it is about working a tad wetter and quickly although glitters are forgiving time wise due to their density.

When doing fades on the tips, I normally start with the free edge colour and very lightly feather the product up, then place the second colour and define your smile if doing so and lightly feather down.

If you feel after doing that that your colours still look a bit like 2 separate colours take a very small bead of the lighter colour and place between the 2 colours and very lightly feather down then up or the the other way around.

hth :)

i actually start at the tip and bring it toward the smile line first then take my second color and start the smile line and brush it foward over the second color a little.
