Hi kelly

I'm quite new to all this too. I did my training with NSI, I did a search on the internet for local training providers and that's what came up and seemed the best. I really like NSI - I started doing the acrylic course but I really struggled so switched to doing gel instead. later on when I'm more competent and have built up a proper client base I would like to go back to acrylic. I also did a manicure course with this lady (again NSI). She does other courses too, I'm booked in to do the nail art day in a couple of weeks. If you check out the nsi website (Home - Nail Systems International (UK)) there is a page about training. Maybe also look in your Yellow Pages under Beauty Schools as there will probably be other local places doing training. You could request information from a few different places and compare. Also, your local adult education centre and college - they will probably be longer courses but you could probably get a higher qualification (such as NVQ) than you could get with a shorter course. NVQ isn't a requirement at the moment to work in the industry but I think in time it might be. I would really like to get an NVQ but it wasn't practical for me to go to college as I too work full time and the course was 3 full days a week. Good luck with it all.:)
