Hiya Everyone,

I was hoping that somebody could please give me some advice? I am looking to do a CND foundation course in G & A and was wondering if after completing the course I will be able to start up doing mobile nails??? Is it as easy as that though?

Thank you, and look forward to all your helpful tips!:)

I'll be keeping an eye on your post because I was wondering the same too. I'm here in Detroit and I can't find where to take classes. I currently am using CND acyrlic but I would like to add or convert to Brisa Gel. I am realling interested in taking a masters course but I don't see Maly's doing classes anymore. I'm just confused on where to turn for info or where to go for classes. Good luck!! If I find out anymore, I'll let you know. Maybe you can come over to the states to take a class?

hi, i recently qualified with CND. I think it depends to be honest. After your training is over, yes you could go out and start nails straight away but your finished result wont be amazing. it all depends how much practice you do. if you have lots of willing friends and family that will let you practice on them in the first couple of weeks then this is a huge help. once you do advertise, then you'll feel more confident in your skills. a tip though, always make sure you charge people while you are practising/training x

yes you must charge hun! no freebies or people will always expect it. I have advertised for models, i politely explained that i was a new andnfully qualified nail technician and looking to improve technique/speed etc, people seem fine with this. A lot of people will say to go for it straight away, its the best learning curve i guess. And there is lots of people on here to help and support you. You must be thick skinned though and be prepared for some knocks of confidence. If you go to CND you will be getting highly reputable education and ongoing support from your tutor who will help with all these kinds of things even after your course! Haven't had CND training myself but hear nothing but praise.
good luck hun, you will soon be hooked! xxx

Thank you so much for your replies girls.
I am definately gonna go ahead and do the course...I am so excited! Sorry to be a pain, but could you roughly let me know what you would charge as a newly qualified?? Is is cheeky to do it a little cheaper for the first couple of months, and then put prices up as I get quicker ect?

Liscensed2nail - If I see any courses whilst researching, I will let you know
Thanks again everyone :):):)

Hi there you guys
Definately go with CND - you will not regret getting the best introduction and education in the business.
Youll always get the backup here that you need and trust me YOU'LL NEED IT!!:)
It is the most challenging and rewarding thing I've done - just dont get disheartened along the way - its not an easy game to get into.
You'll need so, so much practice , its not as easy as it looks and it does take time to become a good technician in all aspects ( theres a lot more to it than just the application!)
Be prepared to take youre time and learn it certainly doesnt happen overnight!
Everyone will be here for you so give it a go and good luck:hug:
Best wishes jayneym

I charged £15 and said that it was an offer for a limited time only. Only i didnt say when it ended so that i could increase when i was ready. I did however put what the standard price would be. Some charge more but i was a bit scared lol! xxx
