hello, i am very new to this site and spray tanning!!
I have done about 10 tans now with no problems but tonight i had a big problem with splattering....... the air was fast and the tan was going on like rain( you could feel it splattering on instead of a smooth feeling) big splatters and looks awful when on but did dry out even, except on the legs as it looks like freckles. Please can someone help me as it has knocked my confidence!!! thankyou

Could your gun have been turned up too high??? Or your container not srewed on properly??

I turned it down really low then kept on turning up really slowly but no change!!!
i am guessing the cup was screwed on tight, never checked... thankyou for getting back to me

heya
check your spring inside the gun it may be stuck
if you twist the screw bit completely off you will see a spring inside, it should be ready to pop out, if not its prob jammed therefore not changing pressure. hope you get it sorted xx

What machine do you have and have you been cleaning it as you should.
Remember you are in a hard water area so blow out the water at the end of tanning and cleaning by blowing air through.

Purchase some bottled water as mentioned you are in a hard water area:idea:
Take your spray gun etc into your bathroom. If so desired at this stage spray the mirror with a cleaning agent .... It will make sense ...

Fill the cup with water and attach to the spray unit as you would to perform a spray tan- Just with water instead.

Aim you gun at the mirror & spray approximately 15cms away from the mirror. This will need to be modified when spraying a client as they have curve's, not flat like the mirror.

As the water is sprayed you will easily see the amount of liquid being dispersed/sprayed from the gun onto the mirror.
Adjust the nozzle to the desired pressure.
Start with it the gauge open all the way - Adjust as you go & remember how many full turns it was to get it right.
This has been a helpful way for me to explain to new staff how to gauge the correct setting on the gun .... And
gets the mirrors pretty clean at the same time too :):):)

PS...If you need more practice - The shower screens are good to spray too

HTH

I had that problem with my machine and it turned out to be because I hadnt adjusted the nozzle according to the direction I was spraying ....I have to laugh about when it happened because it looked like gravy was dripping down them hee hee x

Hi there, is your needle intact?? As this could be the reason. If your not sorted by now private message me and I will talk it through on the phone with you. It's not a problem and can be sorted very quickly.

Dawn:hug:
